There’s no doubt that my friends attending this Sunday’s annual Super Sunday hoopla will be displaying their Super Bowl colors. While they might be
sporting their favorite jerseys, or even some over-the-top-face paint, they’ll definitely be enjoying a few colorful drinks.

As heavy-handed as it may seem, the chosen Super Bowl cocktails trumps all other factors and is the epitome of a dedicated fan. And as crazy as it may sound, that very drink might be the deciding factor in the outcome of the game. All right… that does sound crazy, nevertheless, let’s explore the 2 must have cocktails for this year’s Super Bowl Parties.

Orange Crush Cocktail

  • Combine OJ, Vodka, and Triple Sec and Ice in a Cocktail Shaker
  • Cover and Shake the Contents with Some Ferocity
  • Pour Freely into a Highball Glass
  • Add Splash of Lemon-Lime Soda and Stir Harmoniously
  • Garnish with Orange Slice
  • Pray to the NFL Gods and Enjoy

Carolina PounderThe Carolinas are all in for Super Bowl Sunday and they have some blue cocktail recipes to prove it. Master mixologist Bob Peters has created a cocktail for the occasion via the Ritz-Carlton in Charlotte. Embrace your inner bartender and pour this blue curacao cocktail for the Panther fans at your party.

Note: We tried to reverse engineer this recipe… We think we got it, or at least that’s what we thought after an evening of experimentation…

  • 1.5 oz Stoli Blueberi Vodka
  • 1 oz. Blue Curacao
  • 2 Lemon Slices
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup
  • Blueberries
  • Silver Sugar Garnish

Note: The schematics of this drink were a bit fuzzy too, but here’s our guesstimate on how to construct this Panther inspired cocktail.

  • Muddle the Lemons and Simply Syrup in a Cocktail Shaker
  • Add Vodka, Curacao and Ice
  • Stir the Contents Like You Mean It
  • Rim an Old-Fashioned Glass with Silver Sugar
  • Garnish with Blueberries
  • Prostrate Yourself at the Altar of Cam Newton
