Herb Cocktails: A Beginner's Guide

Fresh herbs and vegetables may not be the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about cocktails, but herb cocktails have recently been getting quite a bit of press as the warmer weather arrives. So as an occasional gardener and cocktail novice I recently volunteered to do a brief presentation for our local community garden on herb and veggie cocktails.

While the presentation isn’t an all-encompassing look into the use of herbs and veggies, it’ll give you an idea of what you can use to enhance your own cocktails. From simply adding basil as a garnish to your Gin & Tonic to something more involved like jalapeno-infused vodka, this presentation should at least give you a few ideas 😉

Herb Cocktail Basics

Hopefully this whetted your appetite to experiment with some herb cocktails during the Spring & Summer months. We’ve created a set of tasty “Cocktail Novice Approved” recipes that are sure to get you pointed in the right direction….
