Whiskey (aka Whisky) is a spirit distilled from a fermented mixture that can include corn, rye, unmalted barley, malted barley or wheat and typically aged in oak barrels. Whiskey is a strictly regulated spirit worldwide with many classes and types that differ primarily based on base product, alcoholic content, quality and geography.
