Grappa is a fragrant brandy distilled from grape Pomace (leftover skins, seeds and stems) which results from the winemaking process. While there are many versions of Grappa, the use of this term is regulated by the European Union; one requirement is that this spirit can only be produced in Italy, Italian regions of Switzerland or San Marino.
