Flip Cocktail

The Flip Cocktail is a class of cocktail which dates back to the 17th century described as a mixture of beer, rum, and sugar. We haven’t tried one of these yet, but it sounds like it’ll be an adventure. You can find recipes for these in Jerry Thomas’ Bartenders Guide (1887) from Amazon for like $3 (Kindle version).
