Falernum is a sweet, spiced syrup often used in Caribbean and tropical drinks. With a thick consistency and a color that can range from white to light amber, Falernum may be alcoholic and include flavors of almond, ginger, cloves and lime; sometimes vanilla or allspice is used. Tiki drinks like the Zombie, the Royal Bermuda Yacht Club and the Bermuda Rum Swizzle all use Falernum.
